Hi, I’M Martjie

I’m a Berlin-based creative expert with over 17 years of experience in graphic design, art direction, concept development, and creative strategy. My work is driven by the belief that no project is too big or too small—whether it's designing a logo, crafting a full-scale campaign, or creating social media posts, I’m here to help your brand stand out in a competitive market.

Having lived in three cities across two continents, I’ve developed a unique ability to adapt creative solutions to diverse audiences, engaging both their hearts and minds. From fresh brand identities to comprehensive marketing strategies, I specialize in delivering creative solutions that are both innovative and effective.

I began my career as a full-time Art Director at Ogilvy South Africa, where I spent seven years perfecting my craft. Since 2011, I’ve been freelancing, often stepping into the role of Creative Director, as well as producing campaigns which received awards for both creativity as well as effectiveness.

In 2019, I moved to Berlin, where I earned a Master’s degree in Cyber Psychology of Online Communication, deepening my understanding of online behaviour and preferences in the digital communications landscape.

On a personal note, I’m a creative problem-solver with a passion for staying informed on political and social issues. Outside of work, I enjoy running marathons, writing and illustrating children's books, and spending time horseback riding with my daughter.
